18th Annual Life Without Limits Bowl-A-Thon at Palm Springs Lanes. We were fortunate this year to have more business & Individual partners than ever before. Because of this community wide support, UCP was able to raise over $12,500.00 in donations & in-kind services. We also welcomed many new Lane Sponsors and contributors to our raffle and silent auction, doubling our usual number of prizes and certainly doubling the Fun!
We hope you will join UCP in extending our deepest gratitude for the support of our: · Gold Sponsor: Palm Springs Lanes · Silver Sponsors: Ability Center & Grins 2 Go · Lane Sponsors this year: George Stettler, Dave Narz Family, PFF Bank, Executive Handyman Services, Premier Security, Williams Family, Desert Lexus, Hopkins Family, Lubel Family, James Family, R&R Broadcasting, Ballard/Moss Families, Palm Springs Motors, Maidstone Gardens, AMICI Restaurant, and ClubWhatever. Thank You for your generosity!
Now more than ever, your community support counts. Without our loyal supporters, we would not be able to provide programs and services to over 300 families of children with special needs such as autism, Down’s syndrome, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, ADHD and other developmental disabilities. UCP is the only agency in the Coachella Valley, providing afterschool community integration programs to children and youth with disabilities, along with our In-Home Respite care program. These services are provided at no-cost to qualified families.
Volunteer Co-Chairs for the event this year were, Loretta Moss and Cornell English. When asked why she decided to lend her time & talents to the event this year Moss, Director of Business Development for Southern California Soil & Testing, responded by saying “These kids are so inspiring and so much fun to be around. It makes me realize how lucky I’ve been in my life and this is just another opportunity to give something back.” Loretta and Cornell, along with over 18 other volunteers & committee members helped make this event a success. Together they contributed over 120 hours to ensure that everyone had a great time. “It’s truly a blessing to work with such a dedicated team of individuals.” Said Event Coordinator Cindy Stillman “I’ve never worked with people so devoted to the mission of the organization they serve.”
Our committee & volunteers were: Loretta Moss, Cornell English, Sue Kurht, Kathy McKinney, Lisa Rivera, Nicole Keefer, Andre Williams, Rosemary Newell, Mr. & Mrs. Lubel, Becci Iamele, Adrian Munoz, Gabrielle Crescini, Karen Winters, Ray Allen, Miguel Bacerra, Regina Howard, Ester Shanning, Angie and Cindy Stillman.
